Buddha Bhumi Buddhist Monk’s School, Nepal Project

In order to develop and flourish Buddhism, educating the monks is of the utmost importance. Consequently, the founders of Buddha Bhumi Maha Vihara Rev. Bhikkhu Saddhatissa and Bhikkhu Kolita founded a Buddhist school for the monks this year (2024 A.D.). At the moment, there are 13 novice Shramaneras studying in the school. They are studying Buddhism, Pali and the other five general subjects like Nepali, English, Science, Mathematics and Social Studies. We are programmed to educate the student monks from grade 6 to 10. Every year we hope to increase 10 monk students. We require donors of all kind to support and help educate the young monks. At the moment we are utilizing the funds generated by the general activities of the monastery like donation and alms receivings. We don’t think that we can carry on for long without the help from the special donors. We would hereby request all those interested to support and donate for the education of the little monks.

Donation is required for the purpose as follows:

1. Breakfast and Lunch per day per one person Rs. 500 / ( U$ 4 )
2. One Teacher monthly Rs.15000 ( 7 teachers ) ( U$112)
3. Cook monthly Rs. 15000/ ( U$ 112)
4. Office Manager monthly Rs.15000/( U$ 112)
5. One student monk’s monthly expenditure to include breakfast, lunch, tea , education and the other expenses amounts to Rs. 10,000/ ( U$ 80 )
